PEDIGREE NOTES

A three million Franc yearling, HONOURS LIST was quick to start repaying his owners Ballydoyle, winning his first start by seven lengths before fronting up in the Group 3 Railway Stakes in Ireland – the first two-year-old stakes race of the season. At the confident price of 5 to 1 on, HONOURS LIST won the Railway comfortably, beating a subsequent Group 1 winning two-year-old, Sequoyah.

A dislike for wet tracks hampered his juvenile record in France however, running second in the Group 1 Prix de la Salamandre to Tobougg and third in the Group 1 Grand Criterium on this surface.

He was then taken by his trainer Aiden O’Brien to the USA for the Breeders' Cup day meeting, where he met with a career-ending injury in the starting gates of the Iroquois Stakes (Gr.2)
